We are delighted to announce the lineup of plenary sessions at the 100th Annual Agricultural Outlook Forum, “Cultivating the Future,” organized by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on February 15-16 in Arlington, Virginia.
Day 1 – Thursday, February 15: Opening Program
- USDA Chief Economist Seth Meyer’s presentation on the 2024 Agricultural Economic and Foreign Trade Outlook.
- Keynote address by Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, sharing his vision for the industry.
- Discussion on state-led efforts to address challenges faced by producers.
- Panel focusing on the benefits of science, technology, and innovation for farmers and ranchers.
- Conversations addressing the most significant challenges of our time, featuring Raj Shah, president of the Rockefeller Foundation.
- Dr. Wendy Wintersteen, president of Iowa State University, delivers a speech on “Innovating Ag’s Future.”
Day 2 – Friday, February 16: Plenary session “Fostering Diverse Opportunities for U.S. Agricultural Exports in the Global Marketplace.”
- Virtual remarks by Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
- Remarks from U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai.
- Secretary Thomas Vilsack moderating a discussion with Ambassador MaryKay L. Carlson (U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines) and Ambassador Marc E. Knapper (U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam).
