(Washington, D.C., July 6, 2020) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Phoenix, Arizona TOMORROW, Tuesday, July 7th to participate in stakeholder discussions at the University of Arizona. The Secretary will also visit the St. Mary’s Food Bank, a partner in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA’s) Farmers to Families Food Box Program, which has distributed over 30 million food boxes in support of American farmers and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHAT: Secretary Perdue will visit the St. Mary’s Food Bank, one of USDA’s partners in the Phoenix area helping feed Americans in need through various nutrition programs administered by the Food and Nutrition Service, including USDA’s Farmers to Families Food Box Program, which has distributed over 30 million food boxes in support of American farmers and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
