USDA to host Signing Ceremony to Mark Agreement on NBAF Transfer from Homeland Security
(Washington, DC, June 19, 2019) – Officials from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Thursday, June 20th will sign a Memorandum of Agreement that will establish responsibilities for the transfer of ownership and operations of the $1.25-billion National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) from DHS’ Science and Technology Directorate to USDA.
 
USDA and DHS Officials to deliver remarks at NBAF Transfer Agreement Signing Ceremony
WHAT: Under Secretary Greg Ibach, Deputy Under Secretary Scott Hutchins, DHS Senior Official for Science and Technology William N. Bryan, Senator Pat Roberts, Senator Jerry Moran, Congressman Roger Marshall, and Kansas State University Vice President for Research Peter Dorhout will deliver remarks at the ceremony.
