(Washington, D.C., November 12, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will host the ceremonial tree re-planting in honor of USDA Forest Service employee Tom Stefani who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2007. Stefani served as an agriculture specialist in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan. Prior to serving in Afghanistan, Stefani worked as a Rangeland Management Specialist at the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Northeast Nevada.
