ADVISORY: Secretary Perdue in Dallas TOMORROW
(Washington, D.C., May 30, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Dallas, Texas TOMORROW, Thursday, May 31st Secretary Perdue will deliver the keynote address at the World Meat Congress Plenary Session and meet with veteran farmers to announce a partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas A&M “BattleGround to Breaking Ground” program. Following both events, the Secretary will hold a media availability.

Secretary Perdue to Announce Veteran Farmers Program and Participate in Q&A
WHAT: Secretary Perdue will announce a partnership between USDA and Texas A&M “BattleGround to Breaking Ground” program which will assist veteran farmers in meeting loan eligibility requirements. Following the event, the Secretary will participate in the ceremonial planting of blackberry bushes with veterans and hold a media availability.
