ADVISORY: Secretary Perdue in Tennessee TOMORROW
(Washington, D.C., April 12, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Tennessee TOMORROW, Friday, April 13th to visit the Ellington Agricultural Center. During his visit, he will tour the L.H. “Cotton” Ivy & C.E. Kord Animal Health Diagnostics Lab, the Tennessee Weights and Measures Metrology Lab, and the Cul2vate Farm.
Secretary Perdue Visits L.H. “Cotton” Ivy & C.E. Kord Animal Health Diagnostics Lab WHAT: Secretary Perdue will visit the L.H. “Cotton” Ivy & C.E. Kord Animal Health Diagnostics Lab, which provides no-cost diagnostic testing for livestock and reduced-cost diagnostic testing for companion animals.

Secretary Perdue Tours Tennessee Weights and Measures Metrology Lab WHAT: Secretary Perdue will be guided on a tour of the Tennessee Weights and Measures Metrology Lab, which maintains the primary standards of mass, volume, and length for the State of Tennessee.

Secretary Perdue Visits Cul2vate Farm and Holds Media Availability WHAT: Secretary Perdue will be guided on a tour Cul2vate Farm, a non-profit organization growing and harvesting food for in-need members of their community. After the tour, the Secretary will hold a media availability.

WHERE: The Cul2vate garden is located at the bottom of the hill behind the Commodity Distribution building, located at 420 Hogan Road. There is a sign marking the driveway to Cul2vate.
