ADVISORY: Secretary Perdue in Las Vegas SUNDAY and MONDAY
(Washington, D.C., February 9, 2018) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 11th and 12th to speak at the National Grocers Association Convention, tour farms, and participate in a town hall with Nevada agricultural leaders – including Nevada Director of Agriculture, Jim Barbee.
Sunday, February 11th
Secretary Perdue to Deliver Remarks at the National Grocers Association Convention
WHAT: Secretary Perdue will attend the National Grocers Association Convention to deliver remarks before holding a media availability.
WHEN: Sunday, February 11th at 5:30 p.m. PST
WHERE: Mirage Grand Ballroom, 3400 S Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Media availability will be in Ballroom E immediately following the Secretary’s remarks.
Monday, February 12th
Secretary Perdue to Visit Las Vegas Livestock
WHAT: Secretary Perdue will tour the Las Vegas Livestock operation with Nevada Director of Agriculture Jim Barbee and Mr. Hank Combs, Las Vegas Livestock partner.

Secretary Perdue to Visit Gilrease Orchard for Tour and Town Hall
WHAT: Secretary Perdue and Director Barbee will tour Gilrease Orchard and attend a luncheon hosted by the Nevada Farm Bureau. Directly following the meal, the Secretary will participate in a town hall meeting with Nevada agriculture leaders. Secretary Perdue will hold media availability following the event.
