Secretary Perdue to Tour Houston Area Impacted by Hurricane Harvey
(Washington, D.C., September 20, 2017) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will travel to Texas tomorrow and Friday, September 21st and 22nd, to survey agricultural damage from Hurricane Harvey. The Secretary was invited to go to Texas by Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and will be joined by U.S. House of Representatives Agriculture Committee Chairman K. Michael Conaway (TX-11) and other members of the Texas Congressional delegation. Below is the information for TOMORROW, September 21st, and Friday, September 22nd regarding Secretary Perdue’s media availabilities.
Secretary Perdue Joins Producer Roundtable and Holds Media Availability
WHAT: Secretary Perdue will join a producer roundtable after touring damaged areas and hold a media availability immediately after.

Secretary Perdue Visits Food Bank and Holds Media Availability
WHAT: Secretary Perdue will visit a Houston Food Bank helping those in the area impacted by the hurricane and hold a media availability immediately after.

Secretary Perdue Gives Remarks at a South West Council of Agribusiness Meeting and Holds Media Availability
WHAT: Secretary Perdue will give remarks at the SWCA lunch meeting, conduct a question and answer session with Chairman Conaway, and hold a media availability immediately after.
WHEN: FRIDAY, September 22nd at 12:15 p.m. CT.
