UPDATED Media Advisory: Under Secretary to Hold Media Call to Discuss Report Highlighting Obama Administration Accomplishments Supporting Rural Communities
New Community Projects in 21 States to be Announced
WASHINGTON, May 31, 2012 – TODAY, Agriculture Under Secretary for Rural Development Dallas Tonsager will discuss a new report highlighting the ways in which USDA investments in rural communities help create jobs and boost economic development. Tonsager will also announce over $45 million in new Community Facilities projects, including hospital and clinic construction, which will benefit residents in the following states:
Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Wyoming.
