Agriculture Secretary Vilsack to be LIVE on RURAL TV to Discuss Creating a Blueprint for a Rural America Built to Last
WASHINGTON, Feb. 28, 2012 – On Thursday, March 1, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will appear on RURAL TV for a special LIVE show in Nashville to discuss the importance of creating a rural America built to last. Secretary Vilsack will highlight the role of farmers, ranchers and rural businesses in building economic and job creation opportunities for America’s small towns and communities.
As chair of the White House Rural Council, Secretary Vilsack will discuss the Council’s work to find creative ways to use existing government programs and funding from across federal agencies, to drive economic growth in rural communities.
Secretary Vilsack will take questions from RURAL TV’s national television audience along with special guests made up of rural youth, including FFA and 4-H members.
