UPDATED: Secretary Vilsack to Host Media Conference Call, Announce
Major Pilot Program to Aid Rural Homeowners
Rural Borrowers Refinance Mortgages, Get Lower Interest Rates
WASHINGTON, Feb. 1, 2012– TODAY, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will host a national media conference call to highlight a major announcement impacting homeowners with loans made or guaranteed by USDA Rural Development.
This initiative is part of the Administration’s ongoing efforts to help middle class families, create jobs, and strengthen the economy.
The announcement will apply to Rural Development borrowers in 19 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Tennessee.
