USDA Official to Host Media Call to Announce Investments to Provide Improved Broadband, New Educational, Job and Health Care Opportunities to Rural Communities

 

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10, 2011– MONDAY, November 14, 2011, USDA Administrator for the Rural Utilities Service Jonathan Adelstein will hold a media call to announce new broadband loan awards to rural communities. Over $478 million in projects will be funded to improve or provide broadband services to thousands of rural Americans.

 

The 17 states receiving support from USDA include: Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
