Agriculture Secretary Vilsack to Host Media Conference Call to Discuss New Farm Bill Broadband Program Regulations

WASHINGTON, March 10, 2011 – TODAY, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will host a media conference call to make an announcement regarding the implementation of regulations for the broadband loan program.

USDA’s Farm Bill broadband loan program has invested over the past decade in more than 100 projects nationwide. This loan program is fundamental to increasing access to broadband, which creates a foundation for growth by enabling rural communities to expand markets, compete in the global economy, create high-paying jobs, and win the future.
