USDA DEMONSTRATES HOW BATS CAN REMEDY YOUR MOSQUITO PROBLEM THIS FRIDAY
WASHINGTON, Aug. 18, 2009 - Do you enjoy hearing bird songs out of your window? Do you like seeing rabbits, chipmunks and other critters scampering around your yard? Would you like to find a natural remedy to keep mosquitoes away? Learn some simple strategies for creating an inviting habitat for wildlife right in your own backyard on Aug. 21.
USDA is holding a "Healthy Garden" workshop series on the National Mall in 'The People's Garden' every Friday through Sept. 25. There are interactive demonstrations and information for area residents and tourists about practical gardening skills at any level. Each week will feature a different topic.
This week's "Chef in the Garden" series features a special summer dish prepared by the USDA kitchens. The "Chef in the Garden" series provides cooking demonstrations with your garden favorites.
