USDA ANNOUNCES DEPUTY CFO JON HOLLADAY

WASHINGTON, DC, March 19, 2008-The Agriculture Department's Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Chuck Christopherson today announced the selection of Jon M. Holladay as the deputy CFO. In his new position, Holladay is responsible for supporting the requirements of the Chief Financial Officers Act and providing oversight to USDA financial operations, the National Finance Center (NFC), and agency financial organizations.

"Holladay's history at USDA has been impressive," Christopherson said. "His knowledge of finance coupled with an understanding of information technology is a great asset to the government. He establishes high standards, drives results, and helps others get across the finish line."

Holladay began his career with USDA in 1992. He has held various responsibilities within the chief financial office. Prior to accepting his current position, Holladay served as USDA's associate chief financial officer where he was responsible for USDA's fiscal policy, strategic planning, competitive sourcing, and controller of the working capital fund. Before he served as associate CFO, Holladay was acting deputy director of the NFC.

Holladay has been instrumental in improving USDA's financial systems and processes and has actively participated in government-wide committees.

Holladay is a graduate of the George Mason University School of Business and a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the National Accounting Fraternity.
