It looks like SNAPs may use squashfs internally.  Or at least, some
Gentoo overlay ebuilds use that method to unpack the SNAP for
recent versions of Skype.  It's worth a try, anyway.

The URLs used to fetch the raw SNAP file are ugly:

# fetch snap dl url from:
# curl -H 'Snap-Device-Series: 16' http://api.snapcraft.io/v2/snaps/info/skype
