Make sure the xf86-video-intel rpm is installed and its provided intel
DDX display driver in use to avoid the problem.

It is currently not installed, but I will try. How do I make sure the DDX
display driver is in use? Do I check it with `lsmod`?

If there is a Xorg.0.log file, it over-amply reports driver in use. Inxi -G also
reports loaded display driver.

If xf86-video-intel causes problems and I want to remove it, can I simply remove the rpm?

Thanks,

     Gianluca
