In any case, on the other matter, about the public key for Debian (or any other repositories): You can circumvent this obstacle like so: sudo apt-get -o Acquire::AllowInsecureRepositories=true update Or, if installing, etc., sudo apt-get -o Acquire::AllowInsecureRepositories=true install The same goes for other apt-get commands. However ... as I am sure some here will be quick to tell you, get the valid keyrings ASAP, as you don't want to make a habit of doing this. It is just a temporary workaround. I hope this helps.
