And, just for full disclosure, I am actually running Devuan Daedalus, which is the non-systemd equivalent of Debian Bookworm, so I changed those details in these lines. If there anything doesn't work right, it could be that I have miscopied something, but I believe it ought to be right. When I first installed TDE, many moons ago, I started with the KDE5 Plasma desktop. Personally, I find XFCE or Mate easier to work with. KDE5 messes up your system in ten thousand little ways, and it's hard to get rid of that krap. However, do whatever works best for you.
