I'll give that a shot Mike, in a couple days, right now I'm middle of
designing a 3d printed, $15 harmonic drive for one of my milling machines,
they normally see for around $2500 in steel, but the last time I tried 3
weeks back, it went into a dependency hell on the 2nd package apt tried to
install. Took around a day+ to sort that.

This is Debian GNU/Linux 11, with kernel Linux coyote 5.10.0-10-amd64 #1 SMP
Debian 5.10.84-1 (2021-12-08) x86_64 GNU/Linux. From a debian net install.

I had a 2T shingled system drive upchuck and drown in it on 2 December, so
now the system is on a 500Gb SSD, and /home is now 4, 1Tbyte SSD's in a
software raid-10 on a different controller.

Lots faster that spinning rust. But the new kde still has bugs as its main
claim to fame.

Cheers, Gene Heskett.
