In ~/.Xresources add this line: Xcursor.size: 48 In ~/.gtkrc-2.0 add these lines: gtk-cursor-theme-name="Adwaita" gtk-cursor-theme-size=48 In ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini add these lines: gtk-cursor-theme-name=Adwaita gtk-cursor-theme-size=48 Now praise the wise GNOMEs for their unconvoluted settings files ...
