A good general rule is to let things shake out a bit before upgrading to a
new distribution. For instance, I run an LTS distribution -- and I wait a
full year before upgrading -- ie., I upgraded to 20.04 this spring. There
are no extra points or an increase in coolness for being the first person
on your block to upgrade.

The exception is when you maintain a separate testbed machine solely for
the purpose of things such as answering your question.
