$ grep -i X11Forwarding /etc/ssh/sshd_config
X11Forwarding yes
#       X11Forwarding no

then when you login ( ssh -X )
export DISPLAY=:10

or 

export DISPLAY=localhost:10

if still an issue check what is loclahost in /etc/hosts
