Migration of services - 12. etherpad

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi all,

the twelfth, last, service on the migration list is Etherpad.

-- Migration status --

Etherpad is a service that is located on the previous primary server, so we
will need to decide how to proceed with this service.

Etherpad was actively used only at the beginning of the project - last in
2012. Since then, the uses are very rare and insignificant. Therefore, it
seems that it would be a useless effort to deal with the creation of a new
instance and the migration of content.

-- What needs to be done --

Because the "pads" that are there are more developer notes than data that
would be useful to place on the main TDE wiki, we intended that useful
information from the Etherpad could be placed on the wiki in TGW, which
seems more suitable for developer notes. Data would not be lost, it would
be in one place along with other developer discussions on issues and pull
requests, and the Etherpad could be abandoned.

-- More ideas and suggestions?

What is your opinion on placing data from Etherpad to the wiki in TGW and
leaving Etherpad?

Do you know of any other services that we forgot when preparing the list of
services for migration?

Do you have any other ideas and suggestions?

Cheers
