As somebody else wrote already (please pardon my faulty memory here!), Debian/Devuan has a rather steep learning, especially for one such as myself who isn't suited to technical work by either temperament or job requirements; but once we learn how to get it to behave as we want, we have freedom. Nik makes BSD sound interesting, and I would like to explore Slackware some more, and there are others, as well; but at the moment I don't need to change horses, and there is no hurry.
