Indeed.
In kuickshow file list > properties the filesize is given as 800x480.
In Imagemagick `display` the filesize is also given as 800x480,
with:
        display: length and filesize do not match `VPS/map002.bmp'
        @ warning/bmp.c/ReadBMPImage/830.

It would seem the image is snafu, and kuickshow just not handle it well.
But, how should it handle a b0rk3d image.  I guess I was Just Lucky
with `display`s results.
