That forces a dark screen for about 1 second.
Even the times set by xset are ignored. Regardless of tde config 
settings, or xset settings I get a shut down/poweroff, in 5 minutes. 
Maddening as can be. I have to keep wiggling the mouse to watch a 
youtube video.

IMO TDE should get out of the power saving business and let xset do its 
job. But I'm rowing with a toothpick...
