Debian jessie, TDE: R14.0.8  here, and on Devuan ascii with TDE PSB it 
was the same, IIRC:

I have problems, too, with browsers (Firefox, Palemoon), to save files, 
send emails etc., actually always when a dialog window is used to 
accomplish the task. It always seemed to be caused by bugs in 
kgtk-qt3-trinity or the underlying mechanisms. When kgtk-qt3-trinity is 
not installed you should not see problems related to this cause. 
However, I'm not sure if that applies to your setting, just guessing 
that you access meet.jitsi through a browser…
