Hi

Trinity LiveCD on Ubuntu 18.04 has been configured to work with the TDE 
NetworkManager applet. NetworkManager did not seem to need netplan to 
work, so there are no /etc/netplan. You can try to set a static address 
using TDE NetworkManager - the icon at the bottom right.
