I can't try this out at the moment, so it may be wrong.  But it occurs to me
that konqueror is probably just opening whatever terminal is Trinity's
default.  So maybe what you want is to change the system default, then
restart konqueror, or just to be safe, restart Trinity.  Then I think maybe
it'll work.
