Do you mean hibernate, not suspend.

Here are the entries

HandlePowerKey=poweroff
HandleSuspendKey=hibernate
HandleHibernateKey=hibernate
HandleLidSwitch=hibernate
HandleLidSwitchDocked=supend
PowerKeyIgnoreInhibited=no
SuspendKeyIgnoreInhibited=no
HibernateKeyIgnoreInhibited=no

If this setting

Lid closes hibernates in Gnome but *not* in TDE

So what happens to you in TDE, if you close the lid?
