I have reproduced the problem with an empty config in Buster 14.0.7 and two non-xinerama xorg.conf screens. After logging in and personalization the displays flash, only a tiny percentage of mouse and keyboard input is effective, and .xsession-errors shows continuous errors. You may also have to unlock the screen several times at the outset.
