Hi Giorgos, I'm somewhat interested in the same, as this, In a script, works for me on a laptop, but does not 'talk' to the monitor on a desktop (both Debian based): dcop kdesktop KScreensaverIface lock sleep 3 xset dpms force standby Anyone with a pure Debian desktop get xset to work?
