Hi Gene,

What do you exactly mean? I guess: you upgraded and you find yourself with 
Gnome 3?

If that's the case, to get tdm back do this:

dpkg-reconfigure gdm3 
dpkg-reconfigure tdm-trinity

You should also manage to get to a login screen, to be able to choose a tde 
session.
