But it can't open anything in /usr/share/doc/linuxcnc. You can type it
into the path, and it reverts to /home/gene when you hit return to get a
file listing in that directory. So AFAIAC it still does not have a file
open dialog. Useless to me.
that is strange. I am now looking at /usr/....
at the top of the dialog there is a field called 'filter'; have you
tried your hand at that?
what is 'AFAIAC'?
