IMO it should not, but it does totally muck up the "sticky" stuff anyway. Sad state of affairs when you have to pay $75 usd to get a mouse with a clicker on the wheel so it doesn't move when your finger isn't touching it. All the cheaper stuff can move just by breathing 3 feet away from it in an otherwise quiet room.
