It seems to be only "there" when explicitly set. BTW, that does not work with $ TDE_LANG=en tdecmshell language & the dialog still comes up with german language. Maybe that's why tdecmshell has this option "--lang <language>" (which doesn't do exactly the same unfortunately, as I found out, see previous mail.
