I don't use sound in any of my browsers. I don't use "live" content, but 
rather download it and watch or listen on a media player. 

Anyway, my browsers are the newest available in Debian Jessie. 

However, it seems like pulse is getting forced on us, like it or not. Or is 
this not so?
