The model specification does not help in my case. The dell laptop shows HDMI as first card (but there is no digital output...) With the following entry in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf options snd-hda-intel enable=1 index=0 options snd-hda-intel enable=0 index=1 the card numbers are swapped and the vol-keys are working.
