Many problems users > > have because not reading or not following the user guides. > > regards which i did, of course, just didn't mention it (also entered the room, turned on the computer, etc.). my point was that the upgrade by changing the entries in sources.list didn't work for me in the upgrade from 14.04 to 16.04, even though it did when moving from 12.04 to 14.04. so i decided that because the system was toast anyway, rather than try to sort out a broken ubuntu i'd go ahead and upgrade to debian. and i hoped to find an install CD that contained debian and TDE. and i was given good instructions on how to do the install despite the lack of such a CD, so problem solved. that's all. dep Sent withProtonMailSecure Email.
