Another person here wants me to try Slax, and I am sure that I will try that, as well. And now I find myself wanting to help you keep running TDE, because I do really like the old KDE3 desktop, and hate pretty much all the newer ones (though I do keep trying them out). The one motif that is constant in all this is that we each get into our own comfortable routines and habits, and because they work for us, we feel that they are the best, or even the only right ways, of doing things. If I can be of help, please let me know. I was thinking, I could upload my working TDE-Trinity packages to a Dropbox account, and you could download them directly from there, and use my quick & dirty method; but even then, you might have other programs and dependencies which would cause this not to work.
