I staid with KDE4 aka TDE not because of QT3, but because the code is
stable.

TDE, I would not replace it for anything else. It is light and stable and
provides (mostly) all I need.
I hope the rest of the community shares the same opinion.
As of other systems based on QT3 we discussed recently the Q4OS, but I am
not aware who is using what.
