Hi,
is this discussion some kind of joke?
What linux variant and TDE version are you using?

I did fresh install of wheezy and TDE 14.0.4 2days ago.

1)      Delete .trinity/share/apps/kate
2)      Open Kate
3)      Sessions -> Open -> Default Session
4)      Window -> Tool Views -> Hide Documents
5)      Sessions -> Save
6)      Close Kate
7)      Open Kate -- Document view is hidden

same effect in 4) with pressing documents tab to hide the view.

I do not see any problem here. In jessie I use with partially TDE 14.1.0 I
also do not see a problem.

Can you try this in a different account (fresh) and report back, please?
