AFAIK the menu is defined in the package (Actually in some configuration
files AFAIK in some of the desktop file).

For example in TDEs K3B

Categories=TDE;Application;AudioVideo;DiscBurning;


But why would you mix up both - at the end you don't know what is KDE and
what is TDE?
