Hi Thomas,

It is really disheartening to know that it is not possible in the current release and will not be made available in future releases also.

I have used this method for diskless booting of my servers for last 3 years. And it worked like a charm with no disk failures with precious data loss.

I would have really love to have this feature or a short workaround for this.

A quick alternative will be to have (wildcard + ip address) pair in initiator name to be placed in ACL.

Regards,
Vaibhav

Hello Vaibhav,

Is there anyway to do this?

no and Nab said he will not accept code doing this.

Or any workaround for this problem?

You have to present each LUN to an IQN, and make sure each server is
using the IQN. Than you need to change the following option so that only
LUNs which are accessible by the IQN are visible:

demo_mode_discovery=0

This feature was merged in v3.12-rc3-14-g2dd1d53. So starting with
kernel 3.12 this feature is available.

Cheers,
         Thomas
