Hi, I'm a nube at iscsi target, and scsi tape for that matter. I'm trying to get an iscsi-tape target to function. The iscsi target I'm looking at setting this up on is F17. I have tried using scsi-target-utils/tgtd with limited success. So far, not able to do anything beyond 'mt -f /dev/st0 status' which shows: # mt -f /dev/st0 status SCSI 2 tape drive: File number=0, block number=0, partition=0. Tape block size 0 bytes. Density code 0x0 (default). Soft error count since last status=0 General status bits on (41010000): BOT ONLINE IM_REP_EN On the target: # tgtadm --lld iscsi --op show --mode target Target 1: iqn.st:tape:sttarget System information: Driver: iscsi State: ready I_T nexus information: I_T nexus: 1 Initiator: iqn.1994-05.com.redhat:c6c58372e6f4 Connection: 0 IP Address: xx.xx.xx.xxx LUN information: LUN: 0 Type: controller SCSI ID: IET 00010000 SCSI SN: beaf10 Size: 0 MB, Block size: 1 Online: Yes Removable media: No Prevent removal: No Readonly: No Backing store type: null Backing store path: None Backing store flags: LUN: 1 Type: tape SCSI ID: IET 00010001 SCSI SN: beaf11 Size: 1000 MB, Block size: 1 Online: Yes Removable media: Yes Prevent removal: No Readonly: No Backing store type: ssc Backing store path: /dev/loop0 Backing store flags: LUN: 2 Type: tape SCSI ID: IET 00010002 SCSI SN: beaf12 Size: 1000 MB, Block size: 1 Online: Yes Removable media: Yes Prevent removal: No Readonly: No Backing store type: ssc Backing store path: /dev/loop1 Backing store flags: Account information: ACL information: ALL # Is there a better way to setup iscsi tapes, or can someone point out what I might be doing wrong?
