iscsi target tape question

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I'm a nube at iscsi target, and scsi tape for that matter.

I'm trying to get an iscsi-tape target to function.

The iscsi target I'm looking at setting this up on is F17.

I have tried using scsi-target-utils/tgtd with limited success.
So far, not able to do anything beyond 'mt -f /dev/st0 status'

which shows:

# mt -f /dev/st0 status
SCSI 2 tape drive:
File number=0, block number=0, partition=0.
Tape block size 0 bytes. Density code 0x0 (default).
Soft error count since last status=0
General status bits on (41010000):
 BOT ONLINE IM_REP_EN

On the target:

# tgtadm --lld iscsi --op show --mode target

Is there a better way to setup iscsi tapes, or can
someone point out what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks, Rob
