Q: Detecting boot loop and reacting

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi!

I wonder: Is there a rather easy way to detect a boot loop with systemd, and then react on it?
For example if the system boots n times in m minutes, then (just as some suspect) disable a specific service.
Maybe it could even be a timed disable.

(Actually we had a case last week, when we had a boot loop, and root had no regular change to log in (to examine what's going on), so single-user was required)

Regards,
Ulrich
