I'd love to have encrypted home on a separate partition or volume. In that case if something happens to my root fs, I'd still be able to access home. But as I understand from "Storage Mechanism: luks Home Directories" part here https://systemd.io/HOME_DIRECTORY/, it needs the full device with partition table.
