The Surface Transportation Board is providing a schedule of speakers’
appearances, their time allocations, and attendance instructions for the
STB’s July 18, 2007 public hearing in Kansas City, Missouri, in the
proceeding entitled Rail Transportation of Resources Critical to the
Nation’s Energy Supply, STB Ex Parte No. 672.


 The July 18 public hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Ground Floor
 Conference Room of the Richard Bolling Federal Building, 601 East 12th
 Street, Kansas City, MO.


 The STB announced the July 18 public hearing in a decision issued to the
 public on June 6, 2007 (STB Ex parte No. 672).  That decision established
 due dates for persons wishing to speak at the public hearing to advise the
 agency of their intent to participate and torequest a time allotment, and
 for the submission of written testimony.  Based on submissions received,
 the STB has set the hearing’s schedule of speakers as shown on the
 Attachment to this news release.


 Attendance instructions.  The Richard Bolling Federal Building opens at
 6:00 a.m., and all hearing participants and observers are encouraged to
 arrive early for the 9:00 hearing.  All persons must present a valid
 photographic identification (driver’s license or local, state, or
 federal-government identification) and pass security screening before
 being granted access into the building.  There will be no reserved
 seating, except for witnesses.  Visitors will have access only to public
 areas of the building.


 Quiet laptops and tape recorders may be brought into the conference room,
 but no provision will be made for the connection of personal computers to
 telephone lines.  Cellular telephone use is not permitted in the
 conference room.


 The conference room complies with the Americans With Disabilities Act, and
 persons needing such accommodations should telephone (202) 245-0245, or
 (202) 245-0352, by the close of business on July 13, 2007.


 The schedule of speakers’ appearances and time allocations was provided in
 a Decision issued on June 27, 2007 in STB Ex Parte No. 672. That schedule
 is available for viewing and downloading via the agency’s Web site at
