Surface Transportation Board Chairman Charles D. Nottingham today announced
his appointment of Rachel Danish Campbell, Esq. as his Chief of Staff.


 Since 2002, Ms. Campbell has served on the staff of the STB's Office of
 the General Counsel.  In 2004, she served as an Attorney-Advisor in the
 STB Chairman's office.  Ms. Campbell will serve Chairman Nottingham as
 senior advisor and as senior representative to other agency offices and to
 external organizations.  She has extensive litigation experience, and has
 represented the STB before U.S. Courts of Appeal and in numerous other
 forums and capacities.  Prior to joining the agency, she was a partner at
 the law firm of Foley & Lardner.


 Ms. Campbell holds a B.A. in English from Manhattanville College (1987),
 and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center (1990).  She is
 admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of
 Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, and various federal and
 appellate courts.  She makes her home in Centreville, Virginia, with her
 husband and three children.


 In announcing Ms. Campbell's appointment, Chairman Nottingham noted that
 the agency will be advertising for an Attorney-Advisor to the Chairman in
 the near future.
